Manchester Japan Festival (Rebrand Project)
I rebranded Doki Doki Festival as Manchester Japan Festival with the aim of appealing to a much wider audience. It is a celebration of many aspects of Japanese culture and I intended to represent this in a fun and inviting way using a brush and ink style reminiscent of japanese brush painting, and a fresh, friendly yet modern colour palette. I created a hand drawn poster series to illustrate various aspects of the festival. This illustrative branding extends to other details such as wayfinding and merchandise.
